What is event livestreaming?
Event livestreaming allows your event to be broadcast live to remote viewers via platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or private streaming platforms. It enables audiences to watch and engage with your event in real time from anywhere in the world.

If your event happens live, it can almost always be streamed professionally.

- Multi-camera: Recommended for professional events, conferences, sports, and hybrid experiences
Multiple cameras create a more engaging and polished viewing experience.
Can remote viewers interact with the event?

We provide clear, upfront quotes tailored to your event — no hidden costs.
Do you operate outside Melbourne?
Yes. While we are Melbourne-based, we regularly support events across Victoria and beyond, depending on the scale and requirements of the event.
How do I get a quote for my livestreamed event?
Simply contact Melbourne Live with details about:
- Event type
- Date & location
- Audience size
- Livestream requirements
We’ll guide you through the options and recommend the best setup for your event.
How much set-up time do you require?
It depends on the complexity of your package.
For a single -livestream, about 1 hour is fine, whereas with a multi-camera livestream at least 2-3 hours allows us the time we need to set up and test all the aspects before the Live stream begins. We can give you a pretty good indication and are flexible if we have limited access, and so far there hasn’t been an event we’ve missed!
How many crew members will be present on the day?
For single-camera live-stream, there will be either 1 or 2 crew members, and for multi-camera livestream, there will be 2 or 3 crew members.
For mode Multi-camera bookings, we will have one crew member sitting down, switching between the different cameras, operating the streaming equipment. The other crew member will be up and about, opening the cameras and making sure all the angles are the best that can be.
If you would like to have a dedicated roaming operator, that is, a camera op with a wireless camera, you can also book that in too! This will allow the live stream to be visually dynamic and will make your livestream look more like a cinematic, edited video.
What if my ceremony and reception are at two separate addresses?
Not a problem! We can pack down from the ceremony, travel to the reception venue, and set up there if time allows. If your run sheet is tight and there isn’t much time between the two locations, such as the reception beginning directly after the ceremony with no downtime, We either will need to compromise in some way to allow us to continue streaming or potentially organize an additional crew member to prep the second location ahead of time.
Can you live stream from outside/a venue without mains power?
Yes, we can! We have a portable power station that can be utilized to produce a live stream off-grid. Contact us for more info as to how we can connect you with your family from your disconnected location.
Can you play a pre-recorded speech/video on our wedding day?
Absolutely. Just send us the video file before the wedding and we can load it up on our system to play at any point during your wedding day! You will require the Media Playback Setup add-on if you would like us to bring our screen and speakers.
Can we hire a Microphone/Speaker for our Celebrant or MC to use?
Yes, We have both wired and wireless options available. Our system will be available for the duration of your livestream package, for example, If you have booked in a Multicam ceremony only, then the PA system can be used for the duration of the ceremony,
How do you do two-way live streams?
We require a booking of our Media Playback Setup – This provides you with a 65” TV, and a speaker system that allows us to bring your distant family into the room through the internet.
For the ceremony, there are two ways to go about it – the most common is to have the TV be placed at the back of the room, near the aisle – that why when the ceremony is happening, when you look out into the crowd, you will be able to see the face of all your family and friend that couldn’t be there physically – right there on the screen at your wedding!
Alternative, if you would like a special person to make a reading, or take some part of the ceremony, we can place the TV at the front of the room facing towards the audience – so that when they do their reading, everyone present can watch and be apart of it too. Our PA Speaker systems will make sure everyone present will be able to hear them as they conduct their reading.
Speeches are handled similarly, from your family’s end it will play out like a regular Zoom call, where that can unmute himself when the MC throws to them (“Now we are going to go live to Canada and hear from the father of the bride!”) it’s their turn to speak.
We can also make sure people don’t accidentally unmute themselves at the wrong time.
We are getting married in a small/sitting restricted venue, and we have more people attending in person that can fit in the venue.
Can you stream to an overflow room?
Yes! We can set up out 4K 65” TVs, PA Speakers, or projectors in a separate building, or outside the building and allow in-person guests to watch the live camera feed of the ceremony.
We will require information on the locations to plan how we are to transmit the stream from the ceremony to the overflow area, however, we can do it virtually anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.
